20% off books, 10% off magazines.

Apologies, I was a bit distracted with Father’s Day yesterday so I completely forgot to update our Pick of the Week!
So I’m making up for that today with LOADS of discounted products - 20% off all books, and 10% off current magazines.  The discount even applies to the latest Hunkydory magazine which was just delivered last week.
(Our magazine back issues are already deeply discounted, with half the price being donated to charity.)

Discounts expire Sunday, so get them while you can!
To see what’s discounted each week, just visit our homepage and scroll down to the bottom.

October Newsletter

There may be some extra-scary ghosts and goblins about this year as we’ll be greatly expanding our range of face paints and accessories, including vampire and zombie kits, latex scars and lots more.  I expect delivery late this week or early next week.

In the meantime, we’ve been busy unpacking about 15 boxes that were delivered over the last fortnight! I’m still getting everything uploaded to our website so keep checking and you’ll soon see the latest Hunkydory kits, gorgeous embossing folders for use in the eBosser machine, spray adhesives and glitters from Crafter’s Companion, a variety of brand new yarns for knitting and crochet, some excellent value crochet hooks, and polystyrene balls in sizes ranging from 4cm all the way up to 30cm (so that covers everything from Christmas tree decorations to cake pop trees for weddings and parties).

We’ve also taken delivery of the newest Doreen Virtue angel cards, Brian Froud faery cards and a little Palo Santo wood.

Have you availed of our new One Week Wonder promotion yet? Every week I select one (or more) items to feature at the bottom of our home page at a discounted price. I update every Sunday - take a look, you never know what will be discounted next! (No coupon code needed, discount is automatic.)

Don’t forget to take a look at our Lucky Dip category where at least 50% of the sale price is donated to charity. I choose a different charity every month and for October I’ve selected 3Ts - Turn The Tide of Suicide.

And finally … I’m leaving you with a recipe for an unusual version of apple tarts!

May Newsletter

The days are getting longer and the snow has finally cleared. Summer may not have arrived just yet, but it’s not far off now. I was recently in Belfast where Treasure Bin was exhibiting at the Stitch and Creative Crafts Show in the King’s Hall. I met lots of lovely people from around the country, as well as seeing many of my regular customers again. Everyone seemed very pleased with the variety of craft stands on offer this year, especially when compared to recent years.
We sold huge amounts of buttons and yarn, as well as card toppers.

Of course, it was impossible to fit everything into my little stand at the show so I promised all visitors that if they’d like to order something from my website, I wouldn’t charge postage for their first order. Now how could I offer a wee freebie to new customers and not to my loyal existing customers and Facebook Fans? Obviously I couldn’t do that! So YOU can get free delivery within Ireland and UK on all orders placed by 6 May when you use code FREEP at checkout. Orders being delivered to other countries will be sent at a maximum charge of just 4 Euro.
In the past we’ve had glitches with shipping coupons so if this doesn’t work for some reason, don’t worry - I’ll manually refund the excess postage paid when your order has been processed. If you’re ordering from outside Ireland or the UK, I may need to add on postage manually and will contact you accordingly.

If you don’t see something you like on our website this time, keep checking back as we have LOADS of lovely goodies waiting to be uploaded over the next few weeks, including the latest cardmaking range from Hunkydory, paper punches from Tonic and Artemio, card toppers from MiC at extra-low prices, and we finally got clear plastic combs back in stock (our previous supplier went out of business a while ago).

Until next time …

Spring has sprung!

The clocks have gone forward, the birds are chirping, the sun is shining and the temperature is rising … slightly - this is Ireland, after all!

Here at Treasure Bin, we’ve been spring-cleaning and clearing out some older stock to make room for lots of new goodies. We’re expanding some existing product lines but also adding new product lines.

We’re now selling feltmaking supplies. We’ll be adding more kits over the coming months.

We’ve been selling craft magazines for a few months now, and have added more titles by popular demand. You can buy a single issue or subscribe for 6 months or 1 year to get a discounted price. We’re selling back issues for charity.

The wedding season got off to an early start this year and we’re already selling plenty of icing, flowers, feathers and wedding invitation cardstock & stickers. Last week we got some silicone moulds which can be used with sugarpaste, chocolate, clay, plaster or soap (they’re small but would be ideal for mini guest soaps). If you’re using the moulds to make edible products, you should keep them just for that and keep separate moulds for non-edible crafts.   They’d  make great chocolate decorations for Easter - just pop our candy melts in the microwave and then pour into the mould for a quick and easy treat.  Or you can melt Ultra Thick Embossing Powder with a heat gun and pour into the mould to make an unusual embellishment for scrapbooking or cards …  or brooches!

The Hunkydory card kits have finally arrived, as have the self-adhesive crystals.

By the way, we have a huge range of Peel Off stickers in stock. It will be some time before I can get these all listed on our website but most of them can be viewed on the Doodey website, then email me with code numbers (and colour) of the stickers you’d like to order. We also have a small selection from Goldlabel. All Peel Offs cost 1 Euro each.

As always, if you have any suggestions, recommendations or comments, please let us know.

Mammy & Paddy

So this weekend is St Patrick’s Day AND Mother’s Day. That deserves some celebrating, so Treasure Bin is offering you a choice of EITHER 10% discount on orders placed online over the weekend, OR free postage within Ireland (RoI and NI).  And if you think you’ve left it too late to get your mother a present, don’t forget that you can buy virtual gift vouchers from our website (the amount is kept online for the recipient to use as and when they like). And we’re not stopping you from buying a voucher for your Dad as well … or anyone else you love!

To get 10% off, use coupon code MamPad at checkout.
To get free postage within Ireland, use coupon code FREEP at checkout.

The discount is valid 17-19 March on all items except the Lucky Dip category, where items are sold for charity.  It’s only valid on the website, but you can place your order online and collect from our Letterkenny shop. We’re closed on Saturday but will be open on Monday 1-5pm (or thereabouts, depending on demand!)

If you have any problems using the code, or have any queries, email us.

In our March newsletter, I mentioned that I’d placed several orders at the Craft Hobby & Stitch show. These have now finally started arriving so we have a nice range of books for learning how to sew, knit or crochet and I got a good selection of Payper Box cardstock. I’ve implemented a scheme whereby you can get a €1 rebate for the larger Payper Box wallets in new condition (or €1 discount if you’re refilling your own wallet). This is proving very popular with our customers so I’ll keep doing that for as long as possible, in the face of constantly rising prices! I’m expecting delivery of Hunkydory card kits, Debbi Moore CDs and some needle-felting kits next week. In the coming weeks, I hope to get Sugarblossom moulds, self-adhesive crystals and other craft kits.
