Weddings and Communions

It’s May - the season of weddings, communions, and other joyous occasions.

As usual, I’m busy making feather fascinators, dyeing shoes, and other creative endeavours. If you need something dyed, beaded or feathered, you’ll find details of our bridal services on www.treasurebin.ie.

I will be attending a family communion on 14th May so our Letterkenny shop will be closed that day (and possible the afternoon of the 13th).

But you can still order online from www.treasurebin.com and we’re even offering free postage on all orders placed on Friday - just use coupon code FRY13 at checkout. All orders placed and paid for over the weekend will be posted on Monday.

How it all began

I have always loved crafts but found it difficult to source supplies in Ireland, so in 1998 I opened my own shop -Treasure Bin.  My intention was to encourage people not to throw those broken bits of jewellery or scraps of paper/fabric in the bin, but to turn them into treasure. I provided craft workshops and demonstrations to show them how.

I created a website in 2001, www.treasurebin.com, and started selling worldwide.  I briefly sold on Ebay as well, but rising fees made it difficult for me to keep my prices reasonable so I now sell on Ebid instead - this is where you will find a range of our products, including discontinued items and other special offers.

(it’s free to register and only takes a few minutes).

And then came www.treasurebin.ie where I provide information on our craft classes and bridal services.

I now have Facebook and Twitter accounts so that I can give my customers all the latest news on our sales, new products, holiday closing, etc.

And now … a blog, to give you the complete picture on what is going on with Treasure Bin.  But I will also be giving information on craft fairs, wedding events and everything else that I think will be of use.  So … watch this space!
